Inspiration: Mustard yellow & stripes
Welcome back to the week! Hope you all had a splendid weekend! The weather was absolutely beautiful here in Brooklyn, New York and I was lucky enough to be able to spend a lot of time outdoors - even managed to get a bit of my old tan back. :)
Speaking of sunny weather, how do you feel about mustard yellow? I know it's not the easiest color to wear on certain skin tones, but when it fits, I absolutely love it. For example, the bottom right photo was the inspiration for today's color palette - those models pull off the color perfectly while lining up at Sally LaPointe (photo via AJ Trela). But I think it's even better when used in the home as a color accent - this way anyone can fit this gorgeous color into their lives! Keep in mind, however, that too much of this color may become a bit overwhelming, which is why I think it works so great when it complements neutrals of black, white, and grey.
I'm in love with the top right photo via Darling Magazine of the woman in the black and white striped shirt with a low cut back. And don't miss the interior photo below via My Scandinavian Home - that yellow mirror frame stands out so brilliantly next to all the neutrals. Enjoy today's color palette! . . .
