Vote for us! // Once upon a cabana
Eek...I'm so excited to be sharing today's post! My dear friend, Gloria (Little White Whale) and I were so honored to take part in Patina Rentals' #PatinaCabanaChallenge last month in Brooklyn! The challenge: We were given one hour to create a space within a cabana using Patina's amazing selection of vintage rentals in their studio/warehouse. Anything was possible! I mean, have you seen their array of rentals on their site? I am, by no means, an interior designer at all. I can tell you what a beautifully designed space looks like, but to have to create one? It's a lot more challenging than it seems, especially when you're given such a wide range of gorgeous vintage products to choose from...so many directions to have gone! Thankfully, working with Gloria to put this space together was like finishing each others' sentences, and we think it came together pretty nicely. We settled upon something classic, clean, elegant, yet fun!
"Our inspiration was to create a perfect space that we'd want to hang out in, have the girls over, chat and laugh over a drink or two (with an incredible bar cart)! Our space consists of lots of feminine and elegant pieces, mixed with fun and charming rustic and vintage details. We love a neutral color palette when it comes to a space, with pops of pink, gold, and lots of added flowers and greenery!"
OK, so voting starts today and ends this Friday, August 29th at 12:00 PM EST. Hop on over to @rentpatina on Instagram and "like" your favorite space - the photo with the most likes will determine the winner! (FYI: You don't have to follow @rentpatina to vote) We'd absolutely love it if you could vote for us (Thank you!!!), but be sure to check out all the photos/cabana spaces from the other 4 talented designers to determine your favorite! Get the full details and check out more photos from the Cabana Challenge, including everyone who participated, over on Patina's website.
